Christmas trees are reminders of the lamp stand in the tabernacle (Ex. 25:31–39), which was made in the form of a symbolic almond tree, and the flowers of which were lamps, Thus, it was a lighted tree, like a Christmas tree.
As the lamps symbolically watched over the tribes of Israel, so our own Christmas trees can remind us that the Light of the World is faithfully watching over His people today.
So, let your Christmas tree be a reminder of great joy and peace this year. Remember the hope of Christmas and hold tight to it when all seems dark.
